Description
We received very few of these from the Nepal antique firearms cache but had demand for this bayonet beyond that, so we had our smiths replicate one from an original. Forged steel. These are scarce socket bayonets intended to fit the .75 cal. Model “F” EIC Percussion Musket of the 1840s which specifications were also adopted by the British as the P-1842 musket. These were what the Sepoy Infantry carried in both the Sikh Wars and later in the Great Sepoy Rebellion. Overall length is approx 20″ with a 16″ triangular blade, the socket is specially designed to encircle the Model “F” bayonet stud catch under the barrel.
