Description
This medieval Orleans Battle Axe is from Windlass Steelcrafts’ Battlecry collection. Long single-headed axes were popular among the mounted warriors of the Middle Ages.
Designed specifically to be used and made from 1065 high carbon steel with a darkened, battle-hardened finish and tempering to a low 50s RC. This sharpened blade has gone through rigorous testing. The axe head has a back spike and a sharpened top spike. The long langets are pinned to a stained and turned hardwood shaft. The hands-on nature of the manufacturing by master Smith makes this line unique. Each axe weighs around 3 lbs and is individually inspected to ensure that it is as strong and finely made as the warrior carrying them.
Includes certificate of authenticity signed by each smith that touched your blade through every step of the forging process.
