This comedia dell’Arte Venetian mask is inspired from the classic Italian comedies of the 16th and 17th centuries. This mask is based on the character Harlequin. Harlequin was Pantalone’s very poor servant. Also known as Arlecchino, he was the lover of Columbina. The characters were all very satirical and the masks encouraged the actors to use physical movement for expression. This hand made mask is painted with rich enamel and retailed with sparkling trim and decoupage papers. There is a black ribbon tie for a secure fit. One size fits most.
