WWI Experimental Helmet
With the onslaught of the First World War, military designers were experimenting with many new and radical ideas to protect the troops. The shell of this helmet is based off of the American Expeditionary Forces Model-1917. However, a faceguard has been added for the deflection of shrapnel, prevalent during trench warfare. Our replica is steel, with an antique brass finish. A soft, full leather adjustable liner is on the inside, along with an adjustable military green web chinstrap. This is a perfect addition for the military collector or steampunk re-enactor.
